2024-2025 APPLICATION FOR EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS

QUESTION: Why is important to continue to collect Applications for Educational Benefits even if meals are subsidized by the state?

ANSWER: Several state and national funding sources use Educational Benefits numbers to determine funding rates for schools. A school’s eligibility for programs such as the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), the Seamless Summer Option (SSO), and federal after school snack and supper programs also is based on free and reduced-price eligibility. Additional federal meal reimbursement is available to schools/districts that meet severe need criteria based on free and reduced-price eligibility. Students and families also may qualify for other program fee reductions based on their eligibility for free or reduced-price meals

Ordering

Step 1: Ordering Lunch

A monthly lunch and breakfast menu is sent to families approximately before the start of each month and is also posted here on the website. To participate in the program, families must order meals by the due date.
Order online through the monthly meal order form (The link is sent out in the Weekly Bulletin email):
• Please complete one form per child.
• Meals must be ordered through this form, even if your child receives Free-/Reduced-Price Meals.
• Meals are fully subsidized by the state and will not be charged to families. A la carte food and milk as well as extra entrees/meals are not free and will be charged to your child’s Infinite Campus account when they enter their pin number and receive the meal, not ahead of time in bulk. *Please monitor your child’s account closely and talk with them about your wishes for meals/spending.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The monthly meal ordering form is for ordering breakfast and lunch only. It will not show any amount due. Payments and food service account activity are tracked in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

Step 2: Payment Procedures

In 2024-2025, there is no charge for breakfast and lunch. Milk is 40 cents, and Agamim does charge fees for a la carte food, staff meals, and extra entrees/meals. You may deposit any amount in your student(s)’ or staff account and check the balance in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Meal accounts must be well maintained. Students are given a PIN # to enter when served a meal your account activity can be seen on the portal.

You may pay:

  • Online through the parent portal on Infinite Campus (there is a transaction fee).

  • Cash in a sealed envelope labeled ‘lunch money’ with student’s full name delivered to the main office.

  • Checks made payable to Agamim Classical Academy with name of student and “lunch” noted on memo line delivered to the main office.

What if I qualify for Free/Reduced Meal Benefits?
Applications are available on the Agamim website and must be submitted each year. If you qualify for free/reduced lunch, you still must order specific mails for each day online to ensure your child receives the breakfast and lunch they want.

What if my child forgot their lunch at home?
If a student has not submitted a meal order or has forgotten to bring a lunch from home, a school breakfast or lunch will be provided and the cost listed above will be charged to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal account.

What if I forgot to submit the order on time?
Email info@agamim.org or call 952-856-2531 as soon as possible for assistance. Please watch ordering deadlines and order on time!
