Agamim is an American public school, and we insist our students know their individual and collective rights as Americans to pursue life, liberty, happiness, and justice. They also know each of us is responsible and capable to be part of the “We the People” who help our country form a more perfect union and ensure we all receive the benefits promised in our Constitution and Declaration of Independence.
We do this by teaching our students how to use their intellect and virtue to claim these American benefits for themselves and help others know and access them, too. And we make no excuses: Each person—child and adult—must have equal access to the benefits of a classical education and, ultimately, to the rights of our nation. No exceptions. And we have proved that each child can do it—become the strong-minded, great-hearted classical scholar we expect them to be.
